Locked Out? Let’s Get You Back In.

A calm, practical response when a door has closed behind you and the key is somewhere it shouldn’t be.

7:00 AM – 12:00 AMOakleigh South VIC

Most lockouts are not dramatic. A door swings shut on a windy afternoon, a key stays on the kitchen bench, or a lock finally gives up after years of quiet service. What matters at that point is talking to someone who asks the right questions and turns up with the right tools.

When you call, we will ask what type of door and lock you are dealing with, whether you are the owner, tenant or authorised occupant, and where the property is. That short conversation tells us what the job actually needs before anyone is on the way.

What the work involves

01Understanding the door
Timber, aluminium or security screen; deadlatch, deadbolt, euro cylinder or mortice. The hardware determines the approach, so we establish it on the phone.
02Confirming authorisation
We only open properties for owners, tenants or otherwise authorised occupants, and we may ask for identification or proof of occupancy. This protects you as much as it protects us.
03Opening the door
Where practical, entry is gained without damage to the door or hardware. Where a lock has already failed internally, replacement may be the only sensible route — and we say so before starting.
04Checking what caused it
A lockout is sometimes a symptom. If the latch was sticking or the cylinder was already worn, we will point it out so it does not repeat next week.

Local context

From Centre Rd we cover a compact area of Melbourne’s south-east, which means everything from post-war brick homes around Oakleigh South through to newer apartment entries near the Oakleigh and Huntingdale rail corridor. Older doors have often settled over decades, and a lockout on a swollen timber door is a different job to one on an aluminium unit entry.

Questions about lockouts

All FAQs
Can a locksmith open my door without damaging it?

In many cases entry can be gained without damage, depending on the lock type and its condition. If a lock has failed internally, damage-free entry may not be possible — we will tell you that before starting rather than after.

Do I need to prove the property is mine?

Yes. We open properties for owners, tenants and authorised occupants only, and we may ask for identification or evidence of occupancy such as a lease or mail addressed to you.

What if I am locked out after midnight?

Our stated hours are 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Outside those hours we cannot guarantee attendance. Please call within our opening hours and we will let you know what is possible.
